I just signed up for Google Authorship and got this email as a response to a question I asked in the Google help forum. I just thought I would share it.. It is getting mixed
I think it was Labman who said about this change yesterday. I have to be honest as a user the picture and profile made no difference to me. I just hit one of the top 5 results when looking for something. It was the answer to my question I was interested in not how someone looked:)

Google authorship is removing profile picture good or bad?

I am on lesson 9 and am offering this as my discussion, I am attempting to spruce up my web site some but have only found the banner adds so far.
I have been given some g
I sure did, this place is amazing. Everyone is so helpful I have also learned here in the past week to search WA for answers, sometimes the answer isn't there though. I am still trying to wrap my head around all of the resources available to us.
Hi as Gnave says...maybe change the heading colour as well....that is something I picked up from Boomer. Gives that visual touch. I don't think the WA banners etc are too much. I like the site mate Tim
Your website is very organized and easy to read. I might suggest some pictures or graphics instead of more WA links. People are very visual and your website is very black and white.
Hope this helps and best of luck to you.

Thank you, It does help. I was told that I could copy and paste some graphics the other day, but is there a place to find these graphics the same way there is a place to get the banners?
Not that I know of. The banners for your affiliates or WA are different than inserting graphics. Try this training for finding and inserting free graphics.

I just joined G+ and Kyle is my only friend so far, Ha Ha. Any way I am posting my review on there. It is my understanding that I should not post to the public?????
Some more info for u on best time to post
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/belle-beth-cooper/a-scientific-guide-to-pos_b_4262571.html
I never post an article there, instead I use a link. Saying something about the article of course. There are a lot more people out there then you might think that grasp many subjects. If they do not know what it is and are interested, they will ask click on the link, and either read it, or bounce. Nature of the beast. I've been told if you don't get your message out there though...who will ever know about it.
I see advertising there all the time that I am not interested in. It doesn't stop me from living! lol
Hope this helps.
Rick
Thank you very much , this is also very helpful, I really appreciate your advice. you give good examples too. I am learning so much about a subject I knew nothing about a month ago. Its slowwww but kind of steady,ha Take care
My advice to you would also be not to post to the public. On G+ I would rather post to those who are within my circle rather then to the public for the simple fact that you don't know exactly who will receive the post and how they will comprehend it. It is better to stay with those who you have already connection with or have accepted their friendship so that everything you post will go to those whom you have known of or about. To me G+ is honestly a business networking platform that is great for team connection throughout your inner circle. If a post was to be made public then it should be neutral within the range of opinion, no statements or posts that could become conflicting. Post such as personal testimonials with open ended questions to bring up a discussion would be great to go public.
Great advice, Thanks for giving good detail and examples.. It is just what I needed. I hope to stay in touch.

Hello Everyone,
When searching for a domain name the other day I misspelled a potential name by accident, my typing skills are not the best . When it came up as available I deci
You already own it now so put an unmasked url redirect on it and then if someone misspells your domain name when trying to enter your correct url directly into a browser they will still be forwarded to your site. I know some big corporate companies who buy up all the misspellings of their domain to save them having to cease and desist knobs who go around trying to buy up misspellings of notable brands. I know Google owns just about every misspelling of their name.
Don't even ask me how I know this. Ahh I'll just tell you, I was a knob once ;)
Well I guess if I do what you suggest I will be a knob, huh? That is a new one to me, never heard of a knob before. lol. thanks for the advice.
Ahhh no you completely misunderstand me. If you have purchased a domain name that is trademarked or a name that is someone elses intellectual property then you are most certainly a knob. Regardless of the spelling you would be a knob either way.
If you have just bought a misspelled domain name, which is what I got from your explanation of what you have done, then I don't see the problem in doing what I have suggested.
I would not tell you to do something stupid. Why would I waste my precious time telling you to do the wrong thing?
I am trying to help you. However I now realise that what I have offered to you as a solution is way outside your comprehension.
I suggest forgetting you ever purchased this domain, letting the registration lapse, and moving on. End of story...
Sometimes I wonder why I even bother trying to answer questions like this...
P.S. Calling someone a Knob is like calling someone silly basically, lol ;)
It really depends on the name. Some names are trademarked and you will receive a cease and desist from the company. But the word 'affiliate' isn't trademarked (as far as I know) so I doubt you're in any trouble.
I just don't know how beneficial it will be for you to use that domain. Because it's misspelled you won't really get any SEO value out of it. Plus, people that see the domain will probably avoid it...if they notice the spelling.
But you never know! Sometimes it's worth to try things that everyone says won't work.
This helps, I like your understanding on it. I will probably just scratch it. Thank you for the quick response

Everything was fine last night , now I cannot get passed my Admin login. Is there a way to change the settings, and if I do does that change the settings for two domain names I
Likelihood is that there is a plugin which has collided with other plugins.Happened to me i was offline for like four days.Support ticket helped. It will be fine.:-)
Thank you very much for your reply, I ended up starting over with a new more user friendly theme. I am sorry I did not get back to you yesterday. I am trying really hard to get a hang of this. The learning curve is a steep one for me.
Yea, I was able to get in there but nothing recognizes me, not even when I insert the the preset username and password. I have never changesd this,
If you can get to the "Build My Website" page, you can submit a support ticket (I am assuming that since you were able to post a help message, you can log into the WA site). If the user ID that gives you access to your websites has admin privileges then you can make changes. However, if you change(d) your password then the admin login on the Build My Website page will no longer work and you must login using the WordPress login page (there is a "lost your password" link on the WordPress login page you can try to reset your password if you lost it). FYI - You get to the WordPress login page by clicking on the "Login Page" link for your site(s) at the Build My Website page under the "My Websites" list.
Thank you for responding and trying to help me yesterday, I finally just started over with a new website. I am not sure if you saw my reply, It did not enter it in as a reply under your message.?? Have a great day,
