You can indeed; I don't see why not, especially if the forwarding domain is hosted here and based on the WordPress open source.

You may transfer or point to WA servers (if the transferring domain has to end in .com, .net, or .org.

To update your domain DNS settings, point to WA. Here are the DNS settings.

ns1.mywahosting.com
ns2.mywahosting.com

These settings will be updated within your domain registrar (where you purchased your domain) after the transfer has taken place. To transfer your domain here, you need to log in to the current registrar and fetch the EPP code, a one-year charge of $16.99, privacy included. One more year will be added to your domain.

Also, it has to have passed the grace period of 60 days.

If your site has content, you need to contact site support for further instructions.

They will typically ask you for FTP info and your domain name; they'll set up a siterubix subdomain and upload files. Then, you can check everything is okay before you point your domain to WA servers.

You are more than welcome, Jerry! And it is good to see you.

Likewise Abie, I hope all is well with you.

Thank you, Jerry! I really appreciate it.

Hi Jerry. You can certainly build a working demo using a siterubix subdomain (which I think is what you mean), and you can use the move feature to move the resultant site to an alternative domain name hosted by siterubix and get the full benefits of WA hosting.

Or you can move the site to another domain hosted elsewhere, although I believe that means taking a backup and installing the site in a new domain at the new host.

But if you're suggesting leaving the site installed as a siterubix subdomain and pointing DNS, I'm not sure because siterubix subdomains have limitations. For that I recommend consulting with WA site support.
;-)
Richard

Thank you Richard

If they own the domain and it's not already associated with a website, it's easy to do. If they are looking to move hosting, Site Support can help with that.

Transferring a domain: To update your domain DNS settings to point to WA. Here are the DNS settings.

I hope this helps.

Hi friends, I recently built a site for a client and was trying to set up an email forwarder so he will get the contact form submissions sent to an email he already has from **

Webmail follows hosting wherever that is.

Hi Abie and Richard! Thank you both for getting back to me.

I set up the mailbox in WA (the site is hosted here) and then set a forwarder to my clients regular email. At this point he isn’t getting any of the form submissions but I started thinking he may need to do something on his end with his current address to get it working?
Thank you both in advance for any insight.

-Jerry

You may recheck the settings. Or else, have webmail instead of forwarding; they can still access it independently of your WA account; you forward the credentials.

Or reach out to site support.

Abie

To advise properly on this we'd need to know:
- where the website is hosted
- the method used to create the form
- and facilities available at the clients email service.

Appreciate the question, Jerry :)

Thanks Abie!

You're welcome, Jerry :)

Hi - when I publish a post, I initially would start with the first title, to set the permalink as the keyword.

Then I change the title to make it more appealing and clickworthy, as in your second example.

Thank you Diane !

Most of the time, Google can extract a key phrase whose individual words have been separated.

So yes, use this so that your titles are more appealing.

Thank you Phil!

It is against policies of Amazon to do that but also: why would you want to do that? Because you can already use their own short links?

Thank you, stay well!

welcome, you too!

Nope, Jerry :) You cannot cloak Amazon links

Hi Abie, is there anything that can track them? I’m not so much worried about cloaking, more just organizing and seeing clicks for specific products.

I agee with, Andre…it’s against their Program Policy. I found this in their policy:

“ You will not cloak, hide, spoof, or otherwise obscure the URL of your Site containing Special Links “

-Mike

Thanks Mike!

thanks for finding the words they state so important. Amazon can be good to use but always a pain in the you know where with their rules compared to others plus lowering commission for the affiliate who have helped them get even better that what they were originally.

Very true!

-Mike

You are welcome!

-Mike

No it is against Amazon rules to cloak their links and if you do so you will get your account shut down.

They are very specific you need to use the links they give you and no option outside of that.

it would be a good idea to read their terms on the site

So if you have used pretty links or other cloaking sites to us on Amazon you need to change it as if they find out not only can you lose the commission but again your account will be closed.

Yikes! I need to get rid of it. Many of the links are old, before I had a small clue of what I was doing. Do you think just deleting the app all together will effect rankings or anything weird?
I’m not sure if the links will stay in place after deleting the plug in ?

You are lucky they haven't found you are cloaking their links. The sooner you fix it the better just to be safe.
Not sure what app you are using but best to find the product on Amazon get a new link for that and replace it.

i know it can take time and a pain in the @@@ but better than being banned and closed down
