Jeremy that's terrific. I was just asking myself that same question not long ago, and although you were talking about life in general and not really just online marketing, this actually does reach out to me. People always say here when choosing your niche in affiliate marketing, choose something your, "passionate" about. Such a strong word because when I think of "passion" I think about something you would have a burning desire for.
I have no, "burning desires" so sometimes I feel like I'm squarely average in everything I do. I literally have knowledge and experience in almost every field and interest you can think of and I have about a dozen or so.
Let's see, writing, cycling, science, automotive, swimming, video games, music, eating healthy (or at least trying anyways) but there's always some super passionate fan who seems to trump my knowledge in any of these interests because their passion is greater. I always think to myself, "how do I really stand a chance against someone who is more passionate than me?"
To paraphrase what was said about niches before, I'm a ,"jack of all passions, authority of none" Good stuff and it made me stop and think. Just like my niche website which is about smoothies, it's a "mild interest" now, but maybe in time I can turn it into a "passion". Thank you for your words of inspiration!
Glad it made an impact on you, Lukus!
