Did You Ever Get A Healing Session By an Animal?
Aloha Everyone!
Did you ever get healing by a cat? A cat you barely know?
You have probably got many healings by animals. You may be aware of them or not.
I'm sure that I also have got a lot of healing by animals of that I was not even aware.
Yesterday night I had an amazing experience that I really need to share with you!
The story starts with getting sick with a cold yesterday. My throat was dry, scratchy and sore. I needed to cough a lot.
I didn't work a lot yesterday feeling not good but I wanted to do my stretching on my PaidaLajin bench that my husband built for me.
PaidaLajin means slap and stretch and it is an absolutely amazing and simple Self-Healing method that I apply for about four weeks now. If you curious about that method, I posted an experience-based blog with information on my website.
Before I could lie down I heard a cat calling and thought that it is Buddy our, our neighbor's cat. He is a cat of our next door neighbor's staying with us for over a year. However, I wondered about his strange sounding voice. In the dark, I could only see the white of the paws. But after the cat came closer I saw that this was Rocky. I was so happy seeing him.
Rocky is the father of Honda and Lani, our rescue kittens. I saw him a few times. One time he came as if he would be home with us. He was very bony and had a bad infection of the respiratory system like our kittens in the past too.
He was the friendliest cat you can imagine, very cuddly!! We called him Rocky, and he was listening even though, we don't know his name. He left in the evening and we didn't see him for about four months.
Yesterday night he came the second time. He was like an old friend. Both of us the cat and I were super happy and joyful. Wonderful reunion. I don't know where all those feelings come from. But they are there. And since he was visiting the first time, when I give or send Reiki to our cats, I also include Rocky. Of course, I thought he says hi and thanks.
Well, Rocky and Honda assisted me on the bench. And then Rocky did something very strange. He put his big paw on my throat and tapped there six or seven times. I thought that this was strange, but it felt good to me.
After tapping he stepped with half of his body over my throat and lied down.
He stayed there for about a minute. Then he lied down close to my head.
When I finished up my Lajin session he was leaving. But when I went to bed I heard a cat calling again, and thought it was Honda.
I opened the door and saw Rocky again. He came in, jumped on the bed and came as close as possible to me. After several minutes he repeated the same procedure as on the bench. Seven times tapping with his paw on my throat and then warming my throat with his warm body.
He left this morning.
Isn't it amazing?? I never ever experienced someting like that. My nose is still running. But my throat is fine.

I don't know why it should be but I have an allergy to cat fear. As a kid I used to sit with our cat on the front porch and rub my face in his fur because I loved the feel of his soft fur against my face.
I always had cold sours on my face around the mouth. One day the cat just disappeared and nobody new where he went. and the sours on my mouth healed. We had a few cats after that and the sours can back. Then Mom realized that the fur was the causing the problem and never brought any more cats into the house and the sours also went away.
Know after your story I remember this part of my childhood and was wondering if that Cat new and just left. As I grew and left home. Mom loved cats and because I wasn't there she got this very beautiful tabby cat and the they called her Tabby. I only seen pictures of her.
I was returning home so Mom took Tabby and her kittens to the Cabin on the lake. With in a couple days the sours came bake but this time they where huge and very puffy all around the mouth I had to go to the Doctor they where that bad. And we realized that Tabby left her fur everywhere. Mom went to the lake to take Tabby to the SPCA with her kittens.
I am guessing that Tabby new this because she to disappeared with her kittens and was never seen again. Mom wasn't worried because she too was a natural em-path and she felt that Tabby found a new home.
My younger bothers where very sad and blamed me that their beautiful Tabby disappeared but they came to terms with it because Mom always told them stories of the Animal world.
So yes Jenna I believe that your experience was very real.

I developed an allergy against cat fur in my twenties.
Pretty bad. Itchy and red eyes, running nose.
I cured it while taking care for 12 Norvigen Forest Cats of my coach instructor who was pilgriming the Camino de Santiago for about seven weeks. First off, I couldn't stay there any longer than 45 minutes ...
When the cats started coming to us I had some symptoms with every newcomer which decreased after a few days.
Also with Reiki - Andre suggested renaming Rocky in Reiki, what I love!!! - I felt it a little bit.
I'm so grateful for being able to have the cats close to me. I also love to rub my face in, especially, Hondi's fur. :-) So soft ...

Yes, Linda! Go to the cause, not to the symptom!
Limit your encountering with the kittens, starting with a few minutes. Don't put your hands into your face - I like to do it grrr - wash your hands thinking it is wonderful to be able to touch a kitten!

Things happen for a reason and even though we can't understand it at the time, and I am also not sure if we need to understand why, we should handle it for what it is, a GIFT.

A really beautiful post Jenna. There must be something, as the comments bear out. Stephen King used a cat in his book Dr.Sleep (A follow on from 'The Shining') The cat belonged, if ever they can 'belong', to a nursing home. It would be drawn to those who were close to passing. The main character worked at the home and had a unique gift for helping those cross the threshold, as it were, in a peaceful way. He knew which room to visit because the cat would already be there, curled up on a lap or bed.

Good Morning Jenna,
As Fran said, cats know a lot more than we give them credit for.
When my fiance died in 1982 I would come home to a cold and dark house but my animals were always there to greet me and that helped me come through this sad period in my life.
Once I had a little cat named Layla, she was not healthy from the beginning. She was getting weaker and that early evening when I went to look for her I found her in front of the house on the field.
All the other cats had formed a circle around her accompanying her and saying farewell. She died shortly after that.
What you have experienced is very special and will stay with you as a lovely memory forever.

Thank you, Taetske, for sharing! Ours did it too when I brought Nani back home. I covered her body with a piece of white fabric and Honda and Lani came and sit around. Lani even laid down very close to Nani's body ... enough of that. Makes me sad. Probably both of us!

I thought first that this was a typo because you are one and a half day before me and repeat the time in the comment back. But you didn't say anything.
So, and last night I went to bed very early, meditated and fell asleep. The cats woke me up in the night, and I felt that you are sending me Reiki. And my mind said that it will happen tomorrow midday. But my heart said I'm getting Reiki right now.
I laid down and got carried away.
I woke up at 2am in the morning completely refreshed and good to go.
We have some issues with our solar system. Don't get enough charge. So I had a late start.
However, I will send you an email today.

Too incredible. He must have sensed you were sick. Animals can tell just by smelling you, a lot about your health. If you are sick, the animal knows. However, his "treatment" is nothing short of amazing. I am sure our small animals know so much more than we give them credit for. They truly are here to help us.
This is something, Fran! Isn't it?? I'm simple WOW! It is such a gift to experience that. Yes, they are helping, more than we know.

Amazing Jenna. how powerful
When I had brain surgery back in 2006 I bought a wee dog, Liberty and she would sleep very close to my left side of my head every night for months and I would feel her warmth through my head.
I truly believe she was healing me
She is now 13 and if ever I feel unwell, she knows exactly what to do and where to place herself to help me
I love this post.
It has warmed my soul and I know Rocky will have warmed yours too my friend

Awesome experience! Animals connect if you let them!
I have never been close with a cat. Dogs, my family has always had them. I have had the dog / human connection with several canines thru my life. Each time it has been different as the dogs were extremely different animals.
They can heal just by their presence if you allow them to enter your space as you and Rocky or is it Reiki? Reiki I would have to go with! LOL. The patting is interesting, I have never heard that. My dogs have always done a similar thing with covering and touching though. Light pressure is always a sign of affection or concern. My present companion has the habit of putting the top of her head against my leg and gently putting weight there. It is one of her alerts. She is a trained service dog (her middle name is Xanax) and can sense my pheromones for changes in my emotions I guess. If I feel her there nowadays in public it is usually a sign "it''s time to shut up" lol
But she also has a way of helping me stay calm and I swear to God and the universe she can read my mind and sometimes is just staring thru me and feeling any pain I have, physically or emotionally!
We are part of and connected with all living things!

I was so surprised! But it was so obvious that I got treatment. And that Reiki :-) did it twice, could be he wasn't satisfied, or he wanted to make certain that I really notice and understand it!
I hope my experience helps others to see and understand their own healing experiences with animals better!
I wasn't that much in cats until January. I had important experiences with cats as a child, but later on, I had dogs. For over 30 years altogether. One of my dogs - a beautiful German Sheperd with 25% of a Canadian wolf in her line - was so close to me that I still feel moved talking about her.
It is amazing how Caitlyn takes care of you!! You are a blessed man!
