Sound quality in tutorials, videos and webinars
I just had to do a quick blog post about this, because the sound quality in a lot of these kind of videos is HORRIBLE. And even if the content might be good, I just can't take the ear piercing noise to my ears.
So to me sound is even more important than the video quality, I mean in resolution etc. I can manage looking a smoggy screen, but if the sound is just like someone is pushing rusted nails to your ears until they bleed, I'm not bothered to watch the video few minutes longer.
I like webinars and videos, I'm more of a visual learner. I get things faster that way. But I abhor bad sound quality, hrrrr......
These days it does not take a big investment to improve sound quality, I just got myself a very basic studio setup with active monitors, mixer and a mic with boom stand. Cost me about $180 in total, about $100 without the monitors. On a very very budget a good headset is enough and those cost around $30-40.
After hardware you need software and there are free options to use. So I don't see any excuses for bad sound quality these days if you want to make videos. And if you want your audience to watch through the video, the audio has a major part in it.
So I'm asking, is this something you guys might be interested on having a tutorial upon? I could do one, if there is interest for it. :)

hey Stash...:-)...Yes I am interested...but because it is not something I want to be an expert in...So I would be interested in a tutorial on something about how to get the best quality with something very simple and kind of off the shelf...I am aware this is not what you have in mind...but that would fit my need better...so simple and not needing much tech skills...
Tech skills are not something I want to spend learning at my age...7 years ago I could just barely send a email...Thanks
Well, you have come far then already. :) I will probably do some basic training regarding a basic setup with simplicity in mind on this matter. :)
