An analogy of an internet marketer

So I got a little poetic this evening and came up with an analogy that quite well fits to everyone who is trying to get attention with their websites through search engines.
Even though I don't fish, I got myself thinking that we all here are quite the fishermen and women of the virtual world. Every page and post we make on our sites are fishing lines that are targeted with the best of our knowledge to the busy spot in the pond charged with that golden keyword we have come up with. Our content with affiliate links are the baits and conversion obviously the hook. If a customer uses money back guarantee, the fish got loose.
So the more we cast those lines out there, it's more than likely than one will start biting soon enough. Then we check our lures and see what the weather is like, would something else work even better. And with the first bite, there will be more and more and more until our boat is sinking. ;)
We all know, that tweaking the lure too long or too much won't work. The fish are gone if it takes too long. But we can always cast a new line.
May your lines be tight and may you get the catch of the day. ;)
