I'm Back in Human Form (Kind of)

Welp… we made it.

We landed back in Canada on the 15th—after a flight that could’ve doubled as a theme park ride. Turbulence, bumps, stomach flips… the whole sky-shaking experience. I just now (April 17th) got to open the laptop and say it:

I’m back. I exist. I survived Calgary traffic.

No offence to anyone who lives in Calgary, but your city drivers need a good long look in the mirror. After five months in Costa Rica, where the roads are basically organized chaos (but still somehow more chill), coming back to merging lanes and tailgaters was a culture shock all on its own.

We’re not at the park yet—official start-up day is Saturday. That’s when we’ll hopefully get some kind of Wi-Fi setup going. For now, I’m typing this on borrowed time and semi-reliable connection. If you see posts from me after this and I don’t respond right away, just assume I’m somewhere in the trees wrestling a router or building a cell tower out of driftwood.

As for our RV—it’s still living the pura vida life, parked safely in Costa Rica. We, on the other hand, are trying to keep the energy going. Tired? Yup. But focused and ready for this next chapter? Also yes.

Here’s the part that got me: on our first night back, my mom and dad surprised me by having my siblings meet up at our hotel. Eleven years since we were all together in one room. I didn’t know whether to hug them or just stand there in stunned silence. (Spoiler: I hugged them.)

Next move? Shifting my YouTube videos into hyperdrive, picking up where I left off on content, and continuing the mission of building something that lasts.
