Well, here I am. After eighteen years as an IT professional at a major financial institution, I was let go when it was bought by a larger bank. I decided to bail on the corporate world and started a franchise. After four years, I fired myself from that business because it wasn't making any money. So I'm thinking about reentering the corporate world and everywhere I go the door is slammed in my face. I've got two major strikes against me: my age, and the fact I've not worked in my field for four years.
So one day on a whim I'm searching for work-at-home opportunities and I stumble across Wealthy Affiliate. I'd heard about people making money from blogging, and about people making money from Amazon.com. Never thought of it as a career opportunity however. But I'm reading a lot of testimonials from others and they give me hope, so I'm giving it a shot.
