Calling all Grandparents
Hey are you a grandparent, or do you have grandparents?
I'm writing a post for my www.topgrandparents.com about the different names people are called as grandparents. I'm interested in hearing the variety of names that people are called or that they call their own grandparents that are different from the standard grandma and grandpa.
Please tell me your interesting names and if you know the origin, I'd love to hear that too.
thanks!

We called my grandparents Mommo and Poppo (Pronounced Mom -oo and Pop-oo). Because when their son was little that is what he had called their parents and they thought it was so cute they wanted their grandchildren to call them that as well! I told my son I would like to be called Gigi when the time comes, which is a grandparent nickname I am fond of! Christa
Mom-oo reminds of my adult son who likes to tease me and call me mamoozie. I like Gigi it sounds very elegant!
This is too cool!
My two granddaughters call me "MaeMae" in honor of my Aunt Wanna Mae. Very cool memories of her from my childhood. Her mom (my grandmother) was born in 1898 and we called her "MawMaw" ... her name was Kozzie.
