Quiet Day, Too

Like many folks, I am having a quiet day. I've been working on house projects as well as letting my next review post percolate in the back of my brain. I find I do my best writing if I let it do its thing before I sit down to put words to paper (or keyboard).

I've been thinking about the folks I know who are in midst of the storms and have been sending prayers out. I've also been thinking about a wonderful paralyzed kitten who has just arrived at her Forever Home across the country from where she was born and cared for. In reality, I guess I have been caught up in the amazing way things evolve and unfold.

I am, at heart, an observer. I think we come to the things we need when we need them, regardless of all the planning, preparation, etc. that we go through. Maybe it is a result of being around for as long as I have, maybe it is the way I connect with the Universe. I really don't know.

I know that change is an integral part of every thing we experience. I have a friend who "hates change" without really accepting and acknowledging that "change" is what got her where she is. Without it, she would have none of the people around her she loves, let alone the things she values.

Ironically, change comes whether or not you acknowledge or accept it.

Here's to a nice, quiet, productive week where we all discover something new and find ways to improve what we know.
