My start was in London,Ontario, Canada. This gave me an " outsider " feeling, once my family moved to Massachusetts, I went to school in the United States. My first grade teacher remarked, "Canada is not a country". The Question Was What Country Were you from originally? My mother said, "Just say England." My inner self said, " what (!) the teacher is not always right! " Conclusion. There is difference between what the teacher and my mother's truth. Ummmm!
From there we go to a number of private school experiences, both as student and teacher. Importantly, I discovered "learning for its own sake" is the best goal. Other rewards are fleeting.
From here I was employed as a private school teacher, as realtor, and then as health aide. I found that I could be happy at numerous jobs as long as I work independently, the work seemed worthwhile, and it paid well.
