What's Your Story?
Well, I am back, finally back to WA and my writing ~ WA you have my attention again. Why have I abandoned you for so long? We won't get into it. Here I am. And I have started the exercise of writing "750 words a day". It's my 2nd day, and I really like the format. Don't want to get into any of the contests, because if you miss a day they call you at the word "shame" or something like that. Rather just keep the flow going, keep the kinks out of my hose so to speak! It appears to be, that to keep my writing going I have to have a structure daily. My writing needs that imepetus to keep it fresh and real. Jana, Where is that book You are writing? How many pages have You written. Thinking about it, surely is not a way to get the fingers typing away, until I find a way to flow into the train of thought. Right. 750 words a day, good going Jana.
I love writing, but you see I am and always have been a poet, a singer and songwriter, a spoken word artist at times, and I have even won a poetry contest with a published poem. So write a book? Well my parents once sent an article I wrote about the blackout in NYC where I was at JFK airport at the time it happened. My mother called me up pretty much yelling in the phone! "You have to write a book! Promise me you will write a book"! I think she said "novel", and I said, I will never write a novel. I don't read them, so why would I write one. Some sort of reality writing then maybe I thought and said, but I don't know what you would call that. Self help, no. Well, spirituality and religion, maybe. But my take on whatever it is of course, so don't try to put a label on it in your mind yet, because it's not even written. Ha.
