Traffic Triad Sprint: SEO Reset — Updating Old Posts
Start here (Hub): Traffic Triad Sprint Hub
Writing more posts doesn’t always produce more traffic. Often the fastest lift comes from tightening what already exists — especially posts that already have impressions in Search Console. Impressions mean Google has noticed the page. That’s a starting signal worth improving.
So my SEO reset is focused: update one existing post using a repeatable checklist, then track what moves.
The System (SEO refresh checklist)

- Re-check keyword + intent
- Tighten structure (H2s, short paragraphs, bullets)
- Rewrite intro for clarity + retention
- Add purposeful internal links (2 related + 1 next-step)
- Add specificity (examples, steps, FAQs)
- Improve title/meta for CTR
What I’m Tracking
- Impressions, clicks, CTR (trend)
- Time on page/bounce (if available)
What I’m Seeing
Most underperforming posts aren’t “bad.” They’re unclear or misaligned with intent. Small clarity shifts often move the needle more than “adding more words.”
What I’ll Do Next
I’ll choose a post with impressions, run the checklist, then give it 7–14 days to respond. If impressions rise but CTR stays flat, I’ll adjust title/meta. If clicks rise but bounce is high, I’ll tighten the intro and first section.
SEO rewards clarity and intent more than volume. If you’ve been writing more but not seeing the lift you want, stay with the sprint—Post 4 is the YouTube → blog repurpose workflow that makes content compound.
I’m keeping the entire series indexed in the Hub, so it reads like a system, not a scattered thread.
Question: When you refresh content, what moves first for you — impressions, CTR, or clicks?
