Traffic Triad Sprint: Pinterest Experiment — 14-Day Click Plan
Start here (Hub): Traffic Triad Sprint Hub
Pinterest doesn’t reward random pinning — it rewards clear promises repeated consistently. So instead of “posting and hoping,” I’m running a 14-day experiment with one goal: increase outbound clicks to one blog post by testing hook angles.
This is a clean test: one URL, fresh pins, consistent posting cadence, minimal variables.
The System (14-day setup)

- Choose one test URL (the anchor blog asset)
- Create 5 fresh pins with 5 hook angles:
- belief-breaker
- checklist/steps
- before/after outcome
- quote insight
- curiosity hook
- Post 2–3 pins/day for 14 days
- Keep the blog post stable during the test
What I’m Tracking
- Outbound clicks (primary)
- Saves (secondary)
- Which hook angle wins
What I’m Seeing
If the promise isn’t clear, people scroll. If the promise is clear but the page doesn’t deliver quickly, people bounce. So I’m testing hooks first, then optimizing the page if clicks rise.
What I’ll Do Next
I’ll run the 14 days, then multiply what works: more pins using the winning hook angle rather than guessing. If clicks stay low, I’ll rewrite hook language before touching design.
If clicks rise but the page doesn’t hold readers, I’ll optimize the intro and first section to match the pin promise.
Pinterest doesn’t need more effort. It needs clearer promises and consistent repetition. If you’re running Pinterest this year, stay with the sprint—Post 3 is the SEO reset (updating what already has impressions).

Question: Do you get better Pinterest results from fresh pins only, or a mix of fresh + repins?
