About Jamie Lynn
Joined October 2012

My name is Jamie. "Jamie Lynn" is a name given to me by friends who felt I needed a middle name because I don't have one. Besides, it seems the system didn't have room for another "Jamie" so, "Jamie Lynn" it is.

When I was younger, I spent hours sketching faces and writing stories. Drawing and writing came natural to me. I wanted to attend art college but my parents, both engineers, felt art was too unstable. They agreed to let me become a cosmetologist thinking it would satisfy my creative side and give me some stability. They were right. The salon biz kept food on the table and finding a job was never an issue. Yet It didnt satisfy me "creatively."

Ten years ago I graduated from a small film school. Again, I was seeking to satisfy a "creative" hunger. I appreciate the art of film making, particulary script writing. My goal was to write and produce documentaries about amazing "common" people. Yet, after my internship with a small production company, I found myself, back in the salon. However, after living through a very trying season, I recenty mustered up the courage to read the stories, poetry and lyrics I had long tucked away in a box. I found myself laughing, crying and contemplating as some pieces were funny, others were sad and others were very, very bad. A few of the poems were fragrant with love, others were tragic. The script I wrote years ago actually has potential and the lyrics are moving, not half bad at all. Now I find myself inspired however "rusty" I am, I am inspired. I have settled in my mind, that I am finally going to chase after my dream of becoming a writer. So what does this have to do with WA?

Being honest, not only am I a rusty writer, outside of sending emails and doing research, I am internet illiterate. I live a quiet life. I read far more than I view television and marketing would be the last thing I would ever consider. So what am I after? Well, I want the freedom to work from home. The freedom to pursue my writting goals while keeping food on the table. So, in researching work at home opportunities, online marketing and article writing appears to offer the best of both worlds for me. WA offers training and I need help. I've never blogged, never been on social media much less built a website. I am entering the virtual world on a whole new level, a "new frontier" sorta speak , for me anyway. I am excited!

That said, let me add, I am not looking for get rich quick. I am not expecting overnight success. What I do expect is to enjoy the journey! I expect to make mistakes and expect to learn from them. I expect to get frustrated and over come! I expect to want to give up and to press on! I am not expecting perfection from WA, I am expecting to utilize the wisdom they offer to my advantage. I will learn and it will not go to waste. It's up to me to make the most of it. I am looking forward to this journey and meeting others who are on this journey with me.
I hope I can be an encouragement to others a long the way.

Blessings to each and every one of you.

Hi Jamie Lynn - How very nice to meet you. Welcome to WA. I am a Confidence Coach and the byline on my site is 'Be the star of your own story'. If you have dreams which you clearly do - then you should follow them. I can tell from what you have written that you have exactly the right attitude. You may feel rusty in your writing, but having those skills is a great start.

My advice is don't worry about your internet skills. Those will come. Apply yourself, be consistent, take action and ask question whenever you need to. The best of luck#
