Hi James it is a problem that many face so you are not alone. The major metric in society is the return on investment of either time or money. So if you invest and there is no return many lose interest.
The thing to remember is that you are creating an online business, it is an asset, it belongs to you.
A helpful thing is to as much as possible show the folks around you what you are doing. It is harder to tell someone. Try and get them to buy into the project.

Just remember, it is not really work if you are doing what you really LOVE doing :-D I think that I lot of us have to deal with other people who don't understand.
My dad doesn't know that I'm doing it anymore. I couldn't talk to him about it anymore because he just got angry or disappointed in me. My mum tried to talk to him because she understands, but she just got the same response.

This is why he thinks that I'm going to Polytec next year to study. I really want to be successful before then so that I don't have to.
