Quiet Your Mind, then you can Hear Yourself!

One way I have helped quiet my mind for myself, is to relegate all my random repetitive automatic thinking to the subconscious zone. I don't need to hear about it. I have allowed the exception that if my mind thinks there's an emergency it may get my attention, and of course it has full authorityto bring me anything I specifically request, once! The only items I allowed to stay in the bullpen of my awareness are those absolute truths that I have come to know. There are not very many. They are very quiet and respectful. And they alone are powerful enough by which to run my life, although I continue to seek more of those absolute truth, and to integrate them with each other. In the ensuing quiet, I discovered I have quite a knack for intuition and creativity.

What's amazing to me is that in the stillness, where my mind used to chatter, my mind also becomes much easier to use, like a tool, rather than my counterpart at a conference table. I'm also able to give my mind bigger jobs, such as suggest a solution for this situation. It gets right on it. And I also find an able to recall the things, situations, people, places and times better than I ever have before. Although, this recall phenomenon my be more attributable to the nutrients for my brain that I've been adding.

Being able to hear yourself, allows you to keep your own counsel. This is an essential quality of an independent entrepreneur. Your success may well depend on it.

I'm inclined to agree with you, James; I think it's important not only to learn to hear ourselves, but we also need to learn to reason with ourselves. Thanks for stimulating thoughts, James.

I think you need to have a lifelong practice in meditation to stop the ongoing chatter in our heads. But if we arrive at the point that it goes into the background and we can set up our unconscious to work together with us, then it is perfect. A quiet mind doesn't necessarily mean an empty mind. I am hearing you say something like that?

Heidi, you go to the head of the class. For me, the practice of meditation has grown from a daily exercise to a continuous activity in which I am constantly engaged!
My mind is literally my own internal personal computer. I have learned that I do not need constant affirmation that it is running. Of course I get that information immediately, every time I request a response ,

Thanks James, lots of food for thought...

You are welcome. Enjoy, bon appétit!

Well said James, there is so much noise online,

Not only online, but in our own heads, constantly, even at nigh when dreaming....

Thank you. Indeed so, and because we are so adaptable, we consider it the ambient environment. More is it the pity.

Heidi, aren't you the clever one! So observant, so creative and so spot on!

Having a proper mindset for one's self is imperative. Learning to 'detach' from interference is not easy at first, but truly gets better in a short amount of time.

You are so right, Rosie. I love your terminology!

I think it is essential to find your creative passions

You are correct of course. However, in this course of searching, you'll discover what you're seeking when you pick up the trash. It is only then your creative passions shine through. You might enjoy reading my new blog, seven attitudes of highly evolved people.

Good post, James.

Thanks so much, man, I really appreciate it.

No problem James.

I spend a great deal of time trying to quiet my mind.

It sounds like you've got quite a project there! Ever since I did this trick, I spend no time at all quieting my mind. I commend it to you.

The quiet inner voice (conviction) is always right. Thanks for that.
Paul

You are welcome. Now go and keep your own counsel!

Correct inner inspiration is infallible
