Giving and Receiving Website Comments With Google Search

One member here recently messaged me about getting and receiving comments, and I thought his idea was fantastic!

As you may already know, we have a section here at WA where you can give and receive comments for other members' websites and posts. Although website engagement is great, it's not does not impact our Google Search rankings much, since the traffic came directly from WA (it's a direct link).

This member said that instead of going to the website directly, he asked me to search for his website in Google. He gave me his exact domain name to type in google search. Then, upon finding his website in the search results, I will click on it and I can comment on any of his posts/pages. This way, Google sees that there is organic traffic to the website, which can really help in the website's rankings!

I have not seen actual proof of this, but I thought this was an amazing idea, one that should be shared, implemented and made popular.

Hey Jairene!

I think it's a cool idea. I actually thought of that at one point too. :)

(although I'm not too sure if it works either, but it's worth a go if it's allowed)

I will give it a try for you and would be grateful if you could do one for me too. Thank you in advance

Hi Simone!

Sorry for the late response, I wasn't looking at my notifications LOL. I'll do it for you too, thanks!

Eh, I don't think it matters much either way. The point of comments isn't where the traffic comes from, but that comments add content and engagement to your site.

You're right about the point of comments, but it's like two birds with one stone if Google sees that people are actively searching for your website. That's what I was thinking anyway. Have you ever tried it? :)
