Still hanging in
Hi guys. It has been a while since I popped in. The release of the new book and the starting of a class has kept me away. Hopefully that won't be the case from here on out.
I'm still struggling with a niche, because frankly, although I have done a gozillion things in this life, I really don't feel like I am an expert in any of them. So, this is a process I am having to work through.
Have a great week ahead!

Hi Hazel,
I have experienced similar niche frustrations.
Not sure if it will help, though don't necessarily think about what you are good at, or what you have done 'a lot of'.
Instead, try to think of that which you are (could develop) passionate about. Something you would like to reaserch, and write about. This change in my thinking helped me narrow things down considerably.
Thank you for the post Hazel.
Regards,
damien
Thanks Damien. I guess I have some thinking to do. I am really on a Spiritual Path right now and that is what I am into researching and studying. Maybe I need to look at other sites in that area and see what I come up with.
Huge market Hazel - I should know, I would be embarrassed to let you know how much a few of my spiritual site memberships cost (lets just say more than WA).
I see why you are having niche issues if you are targeting this market ~ wowzers it is wide & deep. All the better for you when you discover your 'thing/niche'.
(What I can do if you like is send you a few links to ones that I have come across recently that look ok, though I am yet to have had a really good look ~ this way may be you could let me know if they are worth further investigation? Just a thought ~ pm or not ~ same/same :) )
Well, let's see. I love writing, teaching, and now I have admitted to myself and the world that I am an intuitive healer. I just finished my Master Level Reiki and will soon finish my certification in Toe Reading and Soul Coaching. So, teaching and helping others see their own potential and helping them find that potential is what I can see myself doing for the rest of my life.
Glad you popped in. What one gazillion thing would you like to learn more about and write about?
Good to hear from you! You must have something you like to talk about and would love to spend full time working at? If you could spend all day doing something what would that be?

A millionaire businessman told me this about learning a niche. In about 3-5 hours you can learn 80% of a niche. In a few weeks you can learn perhaps 85% and in a lifetime 98%. Most of the people who are reading your material will only have a moderate/low level of knowledge and will perceive you as being an expert even though you have been in the field for a short length of time.
