As I've mentioned before, I try to post once a day. The past three days I did not meet my goal, holiday weekend and all that. But even when I am not posting new material, I am still promoting my blog on social media, either by just linking to the site, or to a specific post. I like to mix it up.
But yesterday, not only did I not post a new blog, I didn't do much promotion. I maybe tweeted it once, but even then I am not sure. And lo and behold this morning I checked my analytics (I'm a sucker for checking my stats daily, it motivates me) and I saw that I had 5 new users yesterday, and a total of 7. Not great, but for a day that I did nothing to push the blog, it is more than I expected.
Of course, I don't know how many of those visitors were bots (haven't figured out how to read that on the analytics yet) but that's okay. Visitors are visitors, or something.
Today I've written my one blog for the day, and I intend to maybe write a second one. It is also #Mondayblog day on twitter, so check them out. They are a good way to grow exposure for your website.
Here is to our continued success and getting visitors even on those days we don't get any work on our sites done.
