Don't underestimate the power of Social Media

If we've gotten that far in the training, we know that we should link our sites to our G+ account for authorship and for another way to engage with people.

But don't forget, Facebook can be a useful tool as well. You can share with your 'friends' as well as with the world at large through the public option.

And then there is Twitter, a potential gold mine of sharing and engagement, thanks to hashtags, a simple and easy way to search for things that interest you. Recently on twitter I've discovered @mondayblogs #mondayblogs. It is a community of bloggers, mostly blogging about writing, but there are others too, who share links to their blogs, as well as others. Of course the key to any social media sharing and platform is interaction. Don't just post links to your blog. Interact with your followers. Say something witty or sincere. Let them know you are a real person, and not just a spam machine. Interact with them, and eventually they will start to interact with you, and when that happens you will not only have made some new virtual friends, you will be part of a larger network, and that can only help drive traffic to your blog.

So if you are not on twitter yet, go there and sign up. Then search for Monday blogs and see what the whole thing is about. It's a good idea, and a good way to get exposure.

Here's to our continues success.
