Hello all, I am a fiction writer and from reading Stephen King's On Writing and some personal development books namely The Slight Edge by Jeff Olson in which it is recommended to model your actions after other successful people.
What can I say, Stephen King would be a good person to model my actions after considering he makes over 17 million dollars a year. I'm not saying I would get to that income level but even 1 percent of that would be nice.
So in Stephen King's book he says to write at least 2 thousand words a day. Some of us might not have the belief we can do that so here's how I increased my productivity to get to that level.
I started with a word count I knew I would be able to achieve, 1 thousand words. And then when I got to that I made the goal for the next day to increase the word count by 20% and on and on until I reached a minimum of 2 thousand words per day.
Hopefully that helps you get an idea how to increase your own productivity in whatever endeavor you choose.
