Am I putting the horse before the cart?

I have some pages created with a few pictures :) . Still very much a work in process. On Course 2, lesson 5. Should I be adding the keywords to these pages now or does that come later in the lessons? How do I get content on the Home page? How do I add an WA banner? When should I try signing up with other affiliate programs to advertise their items? I'm getting worried I may have missed something in the previous lessons. Or am I putting the horse before the cart?

Please give me your thoughts.

You can make your home page either a blog roll or a static page. Go into your theme and customize. Use a text widget to add a banner. I would start searching for affiliate programs and products to promote. I recommend Clickbank, Commision Junction. You are doing great!

Thank you!

What Eddie says is 100% ... I could not state it better!

Those are all very good questions. However, you are building your website from the ground up and starting with the foundation.

As you go along with the training, you will cover all of these questions. There is an order AND a reason as to why the training courses are put this way. You will soon see how everything will start falling into place.

Keep up with the courses and one important thing is NOT to skip any of the lessons and not to stray away from them.

Besides that, you are doing well and you are accomplishing a whole lot than most out there that do not have WA.

Cheers!

Thanks Eddie, I have a tendency to over worry things. I will definitely stay on track.

Your home page is empty because that is where your blogroll is. In other words, your "posts" will fill your home page.

If you haven't learned that yet, you haven't reached that point in your training yet. It's all there.
As far as keywords go, they should be used in the titles of your posts/pages and somewhere within the first paragraph of your article.

Thanks Steve
