Living the Dream by Working From Home

Hi I'm Iris G. I'm in my second month of my training and loving every second of it. I wanted to tell you a little more about my story and how I became interested in starting my online business. Hope you like it and I'd love to hear what you think.

Am I a princess?

I have tried so many different jobs, at so many different companies, I even worked in different continents. But they would always end the same way. I would spiral into a physically and mentally drained mess. I'm not saying I'm such a princess that the conventional way of working just doesn't suit me, I... Ok maybe I am. But I don't CHOOSE to be that way though.

Reality

I've had a weak immune system my whole life. Always running high fevers and getting sick randomly, all throughout my younger & adult life. They recently found out I have an autoimmune disease which is making me feel this way and of course it's super rare so there's no cure for it yet.

To make a long story short; I quit my last "normal" job about 5 months ago because my condition worsened again. From that point on I've been in bed every day. I suffer from severe physical pain and the only way I could work and generate an income is from home.

It's A War-Zone Out There

My illness is essentially the reason why I started to look for a real way to work from home without falling for all those scams out there. It was/is a war zone out there. You get attacked from all angles once the internet algorithm had picked up on me wanting to start an online business. Random adds will pop up on all my Socials; with these over energetic guys, flashing their money and fast cars, trying to sell me their "secret to online success". No I'm good buddy, I will be buying my unicorns from the Farmer's Market, Thanks tho!

I Feel Blessed to be a part of WA

I am so happy I dodged all those bullets and came across Wealthy Affiliate, fairly early in my quest to find a reliable platform. I feel so blessed to have found such a supportive community to help me reach my goals. And I love helping other people out by reading their content and getting to see their websites. Like I wrote in one of my posts; "It felt like walking into a surprise party when I joined the WA community". I have never experienced anything like it.

Last but not least. I feel so lucky to get to work from the comfort of my home (to be totally honest with you, mostly from my own bed). I hope that anyone who has started their training here on WA feels the same motivation and welcomeness that I feel... 'Welcomeness'... is that a word? English is my second language so I always make up new words hahah. But you know what I mean right?!

Did any of you ever get ambushed by those promo videos on your Socials?

Has anyone here ever fallen for one of these promos? I have to say, some of them are really tempting.
