Gluing myself back together.

Hello again folks...friends, followers and followees.

Today I come to you refreshhed after having achieved a goal that I ranted about not being able to reach just two days ago.

A reached certified commenter status and earned my first $0.50

Now, as far as comments go toward earning money, that first 50 cents came at a price of 52 comments! A person will spend a lot of time becomming a certified commenter but even if they stop after their 52nd comment, this still stands as an affirmation that money can be earned here and it can be earned by writing. It really is that simple.

Now, my next 52 comments will earn me $25.50 and so if I plug away at it 5-6 comments a day from here on out (on average) I will never have to go through the 50 comments for community credits thing again and I will never have to pay out of pocket for my membership again.

Now, I only hope to work at this for a year or less. My first year's goal was to have this business idea become self-funding. I have 10 months now to reach that goal. Commenting for cash is not the primary way I want tomake that happen, but I will stay on track in case that's how it plays out. I hope to start making money long before that and at a somewhat faster rate than the $13 per week that I'm shooting for right now.

So, to those who have not given site comments a chance, I want to let you know that I'm totally cool with that! It helps to keep comments available to me!

A little more to say here...that site comments has changed a lot of things about me and my account here, as well!

My life has been enriched by learning things other people know like what I need in a digital camera, the best camping stoves, how to wear back packs and, you guessed it, the history of Chuck Taylor Converse All-Star shoes. I have learned about many more money making scams than I knew existed and I have also read content that reinforces the great decision I made in coming to WA.

I also have learned a little about dealing with people (read: make softer, more pleasing comments) but I also noticed that this has caused me to become more engaged in the community. My rank was somewhere near 165,000 when I took on site comments. Today, a month later, it's 1006.

I went from watching others get help to being able to help...and WANTING to help in this time.

It is with that that I would proclaim that WA has made me a better person...even if only in a small way.

And now, I'm 50 cents better than I was when I sat down here!

Thank you all for tolerating my last rant! But, even though I think I'm a better person, the part of me that wrote that was sincere and is unapologetic about it.
