Still No Luck
The other day I was talking to another member and he mentioned a site with over 300 pages of content ranking first under a keyword with massive competition. Since my review theory has failed and I'm unable to find new ways to share my content outside of Twitter and the like, I'm just going to go out on a limb and stuff my site full of articles.
Of course, I'll try to make them quality articles, but considering that's what I've been doing for the past few, I've lost faith in the whole quality is number one thing. Let's see if quantity does the trick.
On a personal note, I'm moving out of mom's house to live with a friend in Vermont. I'm expecting the freedom and privacy to do wonders psychologically, as well as some fresh mountain air and some stargazing. Words can't express how disheartening it is to try your hardest just to dig up seeds.
One of the things I've been thinking about lately is how to stop worrying about money. Five years ago, before I took out that college loan, I was set on pursuing my dreams and developing skill sets, but now all I can think about is how to get this massive obstacle out of the way. Knowing what I know about how money is loaned into existence by private banks doesn't help much. My mom, who has responsibilities on top of her own money problems, must be even worse off.
The answer eludes me. Right now money is the blood of our society; it runs under everyone's skin. How do you stop worrying about a shortage of blood?
Anyway, I'm slowly, slowly, bit by bit, moving out of my recent depression and finding the energy to start writing articles again. 300 pages is my goal, and I'm gonna approach it the same way I approached my second semester in college -- which I aced.
Just a bit more energy, and I'm hitting the switch. WA has created a machine.

Making money has never been easy. You have to stop worrying. And it takes time to overcome worries. Sure the mountains, a change of scenery can help. The most important is your mindset. I totally understand your concerns about not making money from your online endeavors. I have yet to turn any sort of profit. I am positive that we can make this internet marketing thing work! Just need to figure out what system works for you (and what system works for me) and we'll start seeing some results. :) In the mean time, the hunt is on!
Keep staying with it and don't beat yourself up. Trust me I really haven't been as consistent as I should be. Reading your post actually touches on a lot of personal struggles I'm sure a lot of us go through. All of our answers are usually right there in front of us it's keeping focused that can sometimes be the hard part especially when life throws hurdles.
Hey flash, I think I know what conversation that was. ;) If you're actually building an I.M. website, I recommend branding yourself and putting all your content on just 1 website. Your website could be www.iloveflash.com (brand your WA name) & put your advice about I.M. and so on. You want to go after very low competition keywords. I actually just recently found a keyword with 11 competition and almost 5,000 monthly traffic. No lie. I have faith in you.
As time progresses, you'll eventually build yourself up to that point to knowing how you can dominate these higher competition keywords. Table of Contents, strong overall content on your website, & more content within 1 page or post is key for this I'm quite sure. But again, you want to start out small. You can't start hunting a lion when you don't even know how to shoot a duck.
