Looks great! The banner with the moving pics at the top is eye-catching, and I like the way the blog posts are set up with the image and the snippet of info so a reader can click and read more. I would try to make the sidebar on the right less cluttered though. Like Mrrandom mentioned, you might not need the "pages" section since you have that info linked in the top tabs. I think you probably don't need "Archives" or the "Calendar" just yet since the blog is fairly new. I would also put "subscribe" and "follow on twitter" and "follow on facebook" next to each other, or even at the top of the site if there's a way to integrate them all in one section. Just my two cents :). Looking good!

About us pages do not need to be displayed twice, but it is not a negative. However in case you want to add something without cluttering the site the about on the right side can be removed. The "Log in" link would be better at the top of the page and at the same size font as the other links. Unless wordpress.org is an affiliate link I would put it at the bottom of the page. The word "META" on the right side can also be changed to something else. Overall it is a very good site though. Keep it up.
