This keeps coming up! If you're happy with Win7 or you have older software/hardware that's incompatible with Win10, there is no absolute compelling reason to upgrade. Windows 7 will continue to get fixes until 2020! By then, you'll probably need a new machine anyway, and you'll have to upgrade to a new Windows. (Future hardware with new chipsets might not support older versions of Windows.) But you have plenty of time to plan for that change.

Windows 10 does have some quirks that is for sure. I always say use the operating system and browser that works the best for you and your needs. What kind of software and hardware are you find that is not compatible with Windows 10?

A lot of people have found that their printer has stopped working. That usually means updating the printer's software using an update from the printer manufacturer's web site.

A search on Google invariably finds what you want if you use the printer model number, manufacturer name and "windows 10" in your search.

Other programs may also need updating in a similar fashion if they cease to work under the new operating system.

I upgraded in March and luckily have had virtually no issues :-)

It is so funny you say that, because recently I had some trouble with my printer as well and it all came down to Windows 10 interference. I had no trouble with it before I upgraded to Windows 10, but I think I finally got it working - at least today it is. :)
