niche?

So the best way to make money is building a site in a niche market. after some thought i think i will probably go down the road of creating sports sites. My main hobbies are road cycling (dont do mountain biking too much possibility of being in pain) and also golf.
Cycling in particular has exploded in the uk thanks to team GB and the fantastic achievments in the olympics and just by driving around the streets or indeed cycling it is there for everyone to see how many more people are getting into cycling. Also government initiatives like our "cycle to work scheme" are also pushing up its popularity.
So while this will be my niche market or at least my first niche market i feel as though i would be missing a trick if i didnt also make a money making site as surely this is the number #1 search on the internet. i will now push on with creating these sites and hopefully will have a little bit more to add in the not too distant future.
