Entrepreneurs get mislabeled all the time. Too early. Too risky. Too unconventional. “Not the right look.” And when someone can’t explain your progress, they invent a cliché to make the story fit.

But the real issue usually isn’t clumsiness. It’s that people are looking at the wrong foot—the wrong metric, the wrong moment, the wrong angle.

Most so-called “missteps” are just early drafts of the right move. So if they say you’ve got two left feet, don’t argue.
Just check whether they ever noticed the foot that’s actually doing the work.
