Didn't make a dime from WA, spent a lot, but still worth it. Totally.
Haven't made a dime here
But that's ok.
I signed up three years ago -- logged on just now to learn that I have a new badge because of that -- in order to "make money writing online." In fact, in addition to my fun blog, Biscuit Aisle (https://biscuitaisle.com/), I had started a blog called, explicitly, "How To Make Money Writing Online." Didn't make a penny. I'd done everything "right."
It attracted two subscribers. One did the trial but never responded to my messages and then bailed. The other decided to go in with a friend and try it out. They were from Gabon and, because of their internet service and other factors, didn't stand a chance.
That said...It's been worth it.
Not only did I learn more than I'd ever imagine about blogging, SEO and advertising revenue -- a lot of which can be transferred to my daytime work -- but the Tech Support here is second to NONE. I purchased my Biscuit Aisle domain through GoDaddy, but WA has provided Tech Support that is head and shoulders above GoDaddy's.
So, the $49/month isn't an "investment" so much as it is a fee that gets me access to a group of experts who make it possible for me to do what I love to do to get refreshed when I'm not doing my "day job" (which I never expect to stop doing): TO WRITE.
Thanks, WA.Recent Comments

Thanks, Jeff!
And how could I have failed to mention having met some really cool people here, like yourself. :)
Thanks again.

It is great that you have kept on for 3 years. I had difficulty until I retired when suddenly my time was my own.
