Well, what can I say?

I am still here!!

I am still on Level 2, Lesson 9.

I have added 4 content posts now and added pictures. Although the pictures are not showing where I want them to when you enter my site, I guess I will have to go back a lesson or two.

However, after letting my son's girlfriend see my website, she suggested I change the theme as the one I have is too corporate. She is a fashion designer so really wanted her input. Plus I didn't have the photos on my website when I let her see it so maybe that didn't help.

Anyway, I have been looking at the themes so am a bit stumped as to what to choose. There are so many!! I have spent quite a bit of time already this morning looking for a different word press theme so I am off out for a walk to clear my head.

If I change the theme, what happens to my posts? Will they still be there or will I have to back them up first?

Enjoy the rest of your day.

Helen

Thanks for all your help. I was just clicking on "add a new theme" in my website.

I am using Hiero at the moment which is one of the ones that came up when I started building my site.

How do I install any of the themes by Generate Press?

Helen

I'm using Generate Press as well! I'm not sure what theme you are using.

Be very careful with the themes you choose, because they may break some of the layout on your website. That happened to me a week ago, so I had to come back to my original one. Always do a live preview before you decide to activate it.

Hi, Generate Press is always a good starting point. Clean and fast, plus it's used by a lot of Affiliate Marketing sites.
You can do plenty on the free version and upgrade to Premium later down the line.
I have tried many themes over the past couple of years on my sites, both free and paid, but this is the best I have used.

Another thing I learnt early on was not to get too hung up on a theme, just keep it simple. There are so many other things to concentrate on.

Hope this helps,
Mark.
