Creating My First Content Post
I am not sure I should be writing this, but this is hard!! Is it supposed to be this difficult or is it just me or the niche I have chosen? Is this normal for one's first content rich post? Will it get easier? Maybe it is lock down fever or something but I am struggling a bit. I always think about the end goal and never think about breaking it down into manageable chunks so tend to give up rather easily.
Why does it have to be 1,000 words?
I have written about 300 words so far and it has taken me 3 days to do my first paragraph, so a wee bit disappointed in myself. I have spent about 2 hours today to get to where I am so think I need to come back tomorrow and do the 2nd paragraph and maybe have another look at the first one again.
How long should it take to do the first content rich post?
Do all my blog posts on WA need to be positive or can I have a wee rant now and again when I need to?

ps give me the technical side any day - it seems a far lot easier, lol
pps and why is it easier just to write something like this? I have written 229 words already and it has only taken me about 10 mins!!!!!

Hello Helen,
Just passing by in here. What you have had observed in yourself is normal. Not easy to write a content with 1,000 words if you are not in the mood and you don't know what you wanted to bring to your readers. Content need to be rich of body. Like you are writing a book. Like for example, your website about cooking. Then you focus on what recipes and menu. The heading of your content The subheading of your content. How to cook, and what all the ingredients. In your ingredients you need to emphasize what the benefits you can get in each of the ingredients you are using.
You need to be real and have a passion to write. You will make a story from the bottom of your heart.
Good luck and what I said you are not alone. Just keep writing what so ever you want and need you more of research on the topic you wanted to write.

Thank you Nila. I have done a lot of searches on the internet for my niche already and not come up with an awful lot. I need to get the facts right and to put them into my own words is a little tricky for me.
But as you say, if you are not in the mood then it is more difficult.
I will keep plugging away and hopefully one day I can come up with something that sounds interesting, is spot on with the facts and comes from the heart.

Some tips that might help you :
1) Define the message you want to bring
2) make bullet points ( these will be your subheadings) about what you want to say and you get paragraphs
3) Conclusion (can be your opinion/advice and/or suggestion of a product.
Yes, a content rich post is a 1000 plus ,but not all your posts have to be that lengthy :-) A min of 300 words is recommended by Yoast (SEO Agency) to get good rankings though.
Thank you for your advice. I did make up some subheadings but it is the history of the swing dress that I was struggling a bit with. Maybe it will get easier hereon in with my subheadings.

Well, yes it can be hard to start writing content
But it will come if you put enough thought in it. Also you should have a plan
The 1000 words is not obligatory as Kyle demonstrated in the training, but 300 is too short article and search engines, readers and visitors of your website will not see it as informative and helpful article.
Don’t give up!!!
Just try to focus , plan what you want to write about, look for other sources and see what they write about , finally you will have results
Later it becomes easy as you move on

Thank you. I needed to hear that. I probably didn't have enough of a plan to start with except my keywords. I will go back to the drawing board.
