Stop trying to motivate people! .?
I am a member of LinkedIn, and I get notifications about articles written - as I am sure many of you do. I don't always take the time to read them, but this morning I did.
This particular thread linked back to an article written with the premise that we should stop trying to motivate people because they are all already motivated.
This started a sometimes heated debate on motivation. Quite interesting, actually, with much puffing up, and mentioning of credentials, along with opining on the subject.
While I am not highly educated, I of course (because we all do), had my own opinion to add. Here is the link if you care to read it. My dissertation is at the bottom. I'd be interested in your thoughts. https://www.linkedin.com/grp/post/8114881-60252454...
I hope you can get to it, even if you aren't on LinkedIn. Let me know, if not.
Thanks! Have an awesome Wednesday!
Lori
PS Got so caught up in the discussion that I totally missed an opportunity!

Darn.. when I click on it, it goes right there. I guess you have to be a linked in member.... it was a pretty interesting debate. Perhaps I can copy excerpts here.

Jim Rohn illustrates by saying a man speeding down a road where the bridge is out doesn't need motivation;he needs instruction and guidance.
