Is an Affiliate business a good way to start making money online?
The advantages:
- The Affiliate product or service already exists and is tried and tested.
- A promotion website is often provided as part of membership.
- You do not normally have to hold, wrap or ship stock.
- There are billions of potential buyers online all over the world.
- There is often an opportunity to make a recurring passive income with little or no additional work.
The disadvantages:
- Affiliate businesses sometimes have to pay an expensive monthly/ annual membership fee to cover website and owner costs.
- Some Affilliate businesses expect members to buy the product each month.
- Percentages in payment terms can vary enormously, from as little as 2%, to well over 50% of the product or service price.
- Affiliates can make better profits if selling their own products or services.
- Support from owners and upline Affiliates is often extremely poor. Newbies will often flounder, lose confidence and their money.
