Finally Starting Affiliate Bootcamp!
Hey all you wonderful people here at WA!
I am finally going to start the Affiliate BootcampTraining! I was under the impression that this was only for those who choose to promote WA. I have come to see that it is not.
I have been doing a lot of background work and now I'm at a place where I'm just not sure what to do next besides write content. I don't yet fully understand all the aspects of this online business thing, but I got the jist of it. I am finding that when I think I got something figured out, I am far from it. There are so many ways to do the same thing it can be confusing.
Instead of floating around like a lost bird with no destination, I am going to dive into more training and hopefully find some ground to land on.
While doing this, I am going to take a really good look at my schedule (now that I have this nifty little planner I bought) and set out certain days for certain tasks. I feel like the structure I had no longer exists and I need to reorganize my daily/weekly tasks.
This is a never ending turn of events, this online business thing, isn't it?

I've been in this industry for over twenty years, and there's always something new to learn, some new way to achieve your goal. That's part of what I love about it. There's not just one formula or path to follow. There's best practices, then you can choose what works for you.

Ask yourself what it is you think you're lacking.
Go back and refresh some of the OEC training. Did you complete any receive certificate? ( I'm curious, don't know if you did or not..grin..)
I came here to WA, experienced in web design, and jumped between both trainings in search of how to monetize my website.
Instead, of finding what I searched for, I became more confused.
I made a decision to return to the training and start over.
Keep doing what you're doing, Angela.
Do a search for coffee websites and discover new things.
Open your mind to the possibilities and keep writing.

Thanks Rudy. I really like Cassie and your approach on going back through the training, instead of delving into something new and more advanced.
I need to just stop, slow down, re-evaluate my schedule and what I can do, and re-adjust my focus. There is so much to do sometimes I just get so overwhelmed LOL. This is where my little planner is gonna come in handy.

Sometimes we get so excited we forget that this is a process. When we don't get the results we want, we try something new...
As long as you are writing content on a consistent basis, you will get noticed.

Yes I have affiliates and getting clicks, no sales yet though. I've decided to stay on my path and go through the original training again : )

Yep, going thru OEC training again is a great choice! I'm sure you will see things you may have missed the first time thru!

From my own experience, may I suggest that you take some time out and try to get a firm footing.
You have been with WA since June 2020 - about 9 months.
If you have been able to complete the OEC and establish a content building routine for your website, you should be well on your way.
If there are things that you do not quite understand, return to the training and search for additional training, classes and blogs to help you.
Ask questions and reach out to the community.
Bootcamp is great for additional learning but it may also add to what you currently do not understand and create more uncertainty.
And remember, this is a marathon, not a sprint. 😉

Thank you Cassie for shedding a different light on this for me. I never thought I might be digging myself deeper moving to the boot camp.
I did say previously that I would go through the training again, though I did not, I just learned as I went for the most part by asking questions, lots of questions, and trying to gain a good understanding of things.
I do feel like there is still so much for me to learn and it feels like I'm stuck in a revolving door LOL.
Maybe I will go through the OEC once more before I move to the boot camp.
Is it really that much more advanced than the OEC?

Bootcamp is great training and actually helps you to learn a lot about WA, promoting it, social engagement and some more of what OEC teaches.
However, in my humble opinion, OEC is a lot more thorough with the foundation and is geared towards niche affiliate and content marketing.
Once you master this, everything else is icing on the cake.
It helps to repeat it as often as you can.

Congratulations, Angela. WA boot camp is good. And it is only our imagination that limits how we can utilize what we learn about affiliate marketing here at WA.
I am doing the boot camp myself, but it progresses slowly as I focus on my website instead. But I have re-adjusted my schedule again to get the maximum benefit from the training here.

Indeed, it is a never ending turn of events that will push you and stretch you but as you have said you have to be persistent, determined and consistent and continue to take action and eventually you will have success.
