Hey everyone!

Just a quick post on my son taking 3rd place at the Division III wrestling tournament!

I am so proud of him! He earned his place for sure and I couldn't be happier for him.

His team, the Tuslaw Mustangs had 10 members that placed in districts, of the ten were 3 first place spots, and 1 third place spot (my Sam). The most from one team that made it through!

Next week is Sectionals and when he makes it through that, it's on to States the following week!

As a freshman, he has a record of 25:10. More than the senior wrestler on his team had when he was a freshman. He also wrestles kids that are above his grade level almost all the time. Yesterday he took on a sophomore, junior, and senior!

Sam doesn't let anything stop him. stitches on the eyebrow, strained clavicle. He just says he's fine and keeps pushing through for the win!

Here is a video of his last match that placed him. He had lost a match and so had to work back up through constellation matches. He definitely earned and deserved this win! See how quick he pins this dude!

Proud Mama For Sure!!!!

Above from the left is Zack, Devon, Jacob and Sam. Jacob and Zack are brothers and best friends with Sam since they were little boys. Great influences on each other and never lets the others give up! Team work truly is the heart of this bunch!

Moral of the Story.....NEVER GIVE UP!! NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO, YOU GOT THIS!!!!!

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday! : )

Awesome! Way to go! Third place is a grea achievement!

Thanks Rudy! He should have had second but we'll take third LOL. I'm just happy he made it! : )

Congratulations! That's so fantastic that he's doing so well.

Sports add so many other lessons to a child's growth - discipline, teamwork, etc, - so I'm always happy to see that supported by their parents.

Good luck at State!

Absolutely agree with you Jeannine.

He has been in wrestling and football since he was in preschool.

He has learned a lot over the years about teamwork, individuality, overcoming losses, dedication, discipline, and so much more.

I am very proud of him and can't wait to see what his future holds for him!

Thank you for your kind words

Angela
