Home Ownership - It has it's ups and downs
Have you ever lived in a rental unit and thought that it was time to invest in your own future rather then your landlords future?

Yes, Paula! Still have the first hose I bought at age 20 (I'm about to turn 53 soon), and 2 subsequent houses!
It's a good deal, except that I never realized that you truly never own it (my houses are all fully paid for)--miss one property tax payment to the county or city, and they'll snatch it right up!
Have a GREAT weekend, my friend!
Jeff
Property taxes are a big deal. I have learned that (in Florida anyway) The owners have up to 4 years to pay the back taxes and reclaim the property. I was unable to find a company that would issue title insurance until it had been 4 years from the tax sale.
Wow--I know in Kansas I think they fast forwarded up to 2 years, then in my town, I believe it's one year!🙄
Thinking about selling your home? What should you do to get your home ready for the market?
Painting is one of the best things that you can do. It makes everything look fresh and new

Yes Harley, l have and l thought it was time to invest in my own future in 2016 already.
Did you make the move? Was your house payment less than rent? I find that to be the case for many of my buyers
Yes I did and the house payment was slightly higher than the rent because the house is way bigger than where l used to rent but it was worth. I live in my own house now no more the landlord's house and I couldn't be happier.
