Got my first sale! This is the extra encouragement I needed!
Hey WA friends!
Today is an extremely exciting day for me. I logged into my Amazon Associates account earlier to do a bit more work on setting up some affiliate links on my site. To my complete surprise I discovered that I had made my first sale!
I feel like all of my hard work and all the time I've put in are paying off. This is the proof I've been waiting for - people do actually purchase stuff from affiliate sites. It's not that I doubted WA, I just found it hard to believe that anyone would be interested in buying anything off a small affiliate website which is only a month old. Well, someone was interested!
It was only a cheap product but that's not the point - it's the principal behind it that has gotten me on such a high.
I just wanted to say a big thank you to this awesome community for all your help so far. Without you guys this wouldn't have happened. I feel so lucky to be a part of Wealthy Affiliate.

There's nothing quite like getting that first sale to put some extra wind in your sales.
The great thing about Amazon is that it is so easy to buy from. That person would have clicked through from your site, then once they were on Amazon they probably weren't even thinking about your site anymore. All you need to do is get them to Amazon, then Amazon does the rest.
Also, even if they change their mind and buy a completely different product from Amazon instead, you still get the commission because you referred them. You still sent a customer to Amazon.
You've just got to keep creating the great content on your site, and over time you will start to show up in Google more and more. Not everyone will click through, and not everyone that clicks through will buy, but some will, and the more you put out there the more it all adds up.
