After One Month
After one month with WA, I have set up my website, gone through the Getting Started section of the training and have completed 31 of 35 tasks on the Building Your Own Traffic Producting Website.
Five new articles have been published. My site and one of my articles have been indexed on Google. Using what I learned about keywords is the reason my article 'Best Shapewear for Women in the UK' was indexed.
I have had several websites in the past and made no money. Writing for other people seemed to be the skill set that was meant for me. In the last six plus years, I have learned a great deal about what is necessary for SEO.
I did not feel tech-savvy enough to build a site on my own. The most profitable writing assignment I had was writing 20 articles per month for an affiliate marketing company. On a Thursday, my editor sent a comment about my awesome work.
On the following Friday, I received an emal from management thanking me for my service, but changes to the website were occuring and the company was downsizing. My services were no longer needed.
The old saying of as one door closes, another opens took place for me. I feel confident in my ability to write and decided I needed a bigger slice of the pie. One of the members commented that he or she thought building a website through WA was suppose to be easy.
That depends on the knowledge you possess. I can tell anyone who is struggling that the advice offered in the courses is necessary to promote your site. Success will follow much sooner with the guidance provided than trying to do it on your own.
I may come across as an authority, but I still have a lot to learn. Choosing my niche is the biggest challenge for me. My website is researchdoneforyou.com. The nerd in my likes to do research.
I have been working for affiliate marketers in several niches and have no preference. My plan is to write articles about products that fit ranking keyword criteria. It has been suggested to narrow the niche to separate websites.
Currently, I am not in the financial position to purchase multiple websites. I rely on income from writing for others and can only work on my WA website part time. My goals for the upcoming three months are to complete more training and hopefully start earning some money.
I have been attending the Friday night webinars. Jay seems to be doing well with WA and has multiple sites. My goals for the upcoming six months are to deveop at least one more niche specific websit.

Congrats on your progress so far! I know you will reach all your future goals :)
Best of luck!

Well done on your progress!! I also used to some freelance writing but only for content mills. The pay was terrible but I believe it vastly improved my writing skills. I came to WA with the skills already needed to build and design wordpress sites, but still gained a tremendous amount from the lessons. Yes, Jay's webinars are amazing and well worth watching. Best wishes
I have always liked to write. I learned a lot about SEO from the requests made by my clients. I agree freelance writing often does not pay well. I hope writing for myself is more profitable.
