Stuck on a sandbar
For many people the initial jump into WA is like entering a fast-moving stream in a little canoe--it is exciting, overwhelming, and you cover a lot of ground quickly. Maybe it seems too much and you exit the water for a while to catch your breath. Or perhaps you quickly learn to navigate these waters and watch as your rank improves day by day. That's where I was--moving along smoothly and reaching into the "top 200" position. Then I hit a sandbar and ground to a halt. I don't even know what it was--maybe indecision over my website and feeling I could not go forward in my lessons until I had better ideas. Maybe getting busy at work and losing my groove. Whatever it was, I was in one of those slumps where you feel guilty for ignoring it but anxious about doing anything about it. Guilt, if ignored, can be easier than confronting anxiety, so the tendency is to step away. No new content creation, no following of new members, no learning from the lessons I have paid for, . . . just nothing at all except that quiet background guilt and the reassuring myself that I'll get back to it and do great things (meanwhile my rank climbed back over 1,000).
Luckily for me Roger Humbke (https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/rogerhumbke) left a comment on one of my posts and sent me a private message. We have been having a conversation. This kind of friendly reaching out is one of the real beauties of WA. It is enough to get my boat rocking, and I may just slip back into the current and start to paddle again. Thanks Roger!

Hello Go Backup Guy. I remember you as a guy with cryptocurrency trading. So how's it been Making some bucks already. Please share with us, your WA family.
Yes, I have been getting into cryptocurrency trading. The good news is that I have not lost money yet. Well, I have lost money on plenty of trades--but I have gained more than I have lost ;-)
I have been pretty cautious by trading small quantities and setting stop limits. I have been refining a personal strategy, but feel like I still have a ways to go. I realize that the occasional big wins are not due to great insight on my part as much as dumb luck. I have also learned that knowing when to pull out when winning is trickier than knowing when to pull out when losing. Sometimes I have closed a trade after making 15% only to see the following day that had I held on I could have made 75%. I recently purchased some trading software so I can set more parameters and have it execute trades automatically when those parameters are met--the software will check every 40 seconds and I can just check in once a day to see what's up. I am learning that having a lot more choices gives me more power and more confusion. I am thinking of making some video lessons to share what I have learned.

We all need a helping or encouraging hand on occasion.
Such blessings when it happens.
