A funny thing happened when I went to check out my Google Adsense account. There was money in it. I made a whopping 61 cents on July 14. But that wasn't all the news. The account has accumulated over $10 in the last month I never knew was there. Let me explain why.
I started the account about three years ago with another website I had set up. I never got any results so I kind of forgot about Google Adsense (For those of you who don't know what this is, if you have Google ads running on your website each time someone clicks on one of their adds you earn a small fee.) In trying to expand my reach for traffic I am trying new things so somehow I ended up back at Google Adsense and checked my account. I found out it was not set up properly to notify me and had wrong profile information including bank information and other things. I now have it set up correctly and will expect notifications when someone engages my site.
The moral of the story is if you are using monetization avenues on your site, be sure and make sure all the information is current and up to date. This also lets me know people coming to my site do click things in which they are interested so I plan to fine tune what I advertise. You all should do the same. Good luck!
