Don't do what I did an assume your site is safe

I set up my website over a year ago and I have been adding posts constantly for over a year then suddenly on October 21 I didn't have a site anymore all my work was gone, but why ? My advice is be careful and make sure that when you set up your domain you set it to auto renew, check and double check, because if you don't you will find that your website and your email if you use a webmail will all be gone. It is a long and costly process if you forget. I had to email them several times and eventually I had to send proof of who I was, the reason is that because I thought it would all be taken care of I had forgotten both my user name and password so I couldn't access my account, my site standstillbefit.com is finally back up but I have lost my flow of traffic and I have lost my rank in Google, I now have to rebuild my ranking, I must just add this point, namecheap did an amazing job in helping me get back up and running but forgetting to autorenew will cause problems that we can all do without

Good advice. Thanks!

I did auto renew when I set up my domain but never the less this is a good warning for others. Those are hard lessons to learn and hopefully I won't take long to get back what you lost. Don't Give UP!. Just one Question, does that mean you had to rebuild your site from scratch??

Great heads up!

good advice and thank you for the reminder.

Thanks for the reminder.

Thanks for the heads up Goldin, I'm sorry for your trouble and glad
your back up and running. I think I'm on auto renew but better check it out.
