Create your grocery list and get your shopping done in one day.
Clean your refrigerator to make room for groceries, obtain and study more great recipes on what to do with Thanksgiving leftovers.
Before Turkey day, monitor your turkey to see how hard and how long it requires to be thawed. A softened turkey can last up to 4 days in the fridge.
About a day or two prior, prep ingredients like cutting onions, celery and carrots.
The day before T-Day or even two days before make your dips, spreads and kinds of butter.
Set your table the night before. Use your Cookbook to make easy recipes, like caramelised apples, soups and potatoes. This is a time saver when dinner time comes.
On Thanksgiving morning, just plan accordingly to the cooking times of your food. Remember the longer the cooked turkey sits, the juicer it gets. Relax, it’s about family, friends and being together.

Happy Thanksgiving to you too! In South Africa we do not celebrate this holiday, but I have a lot to be thankful for as well :)
Same to you. I'll be going out to dinner with friends. Don't have any relatives nearby. My sister called me yesterday and invited me to go to their house, but it's a 3 hour drive each way, and too late to make plans to board my dog overnight. So I'm staying home and enjoying my own company. Some people might think that sounds lonely, but I actually enjoy being alone some of the time.
