Don't fall into the status trap.
Hello :)
Good morning my wealthy affiliate friends and happy Sunday to you all.
I recently read a blog on here about people rising to the rank of Ambassador and using spamming methods to achieve this,
Here's the thing and I stand by my statement we are all here to be successful and become financially independent. Anyone who is focused on solely becoming an Ambassador for the sake of status is only doing more harm than good, Ambassadors are rewarded for their genuine input and invaluable help the give all of us.
If you genuinely want to be an Ambassador do it for the right reasons and you will have my upmost respect.
Love you all.
Gary

I am sorry to see so many reactions, just to get a higher rank. It does make the ambassador status really look ridiculous.
Sadly Loes whenever there is a ranking system there will always be a few who will see it as a competition rather than an award for be a benefit to all. You and others like you Loes will always have my deepest respect for the work you do.
I totally agree! I try not to be too concerned with status, it's more important for me to work on my sites. However, I do like to help people whenever I can.
Hi Gary, you are speaking wisely. Many use such spammy methods. The ranking should be abandoned.
Just to know, meanwhile the blog you mentioned was removed.
I just that the many who have attained Ambassadorship have done so through genuine help of others and hard work building such a great community. One day I may get there myself but for now my focus is elsewhere. I will continue to contribute and help.
I actually wondered if I might, thanks for letting me know.
Fully agree too. I'm not at all concerned with needing to be at ambassador level. I'm only ranked around 1,500 and happy with that. I rarely post blogs on WA (that may change) and mostly learning to use WP and researching articles for my niche. I've seen a few ranked very high here, yet have achieved very few sales and success. Could be some ego involved or not focussing enough on their own sites.
I'm not too concerned with status my self and will achieve success in WA over time as my experience grows and I have learnt many things in the time I've been here and will pass on the knowledge as I do. It I'm rewarded for that knowledge and the help I give then it's a bonus but not my main focus.
I stopped following people who do not follow me first and also stopped replying to general "thanks for following" messages on my profile a while ago because it was artificially pushing up my rank.
Fully agree with you here buddy!
Me too! Though there are a few exceptions, I no longer follow people who do not follow me first. And like you, I no longer reply to generic responses on my profile or to any blog I put up here at WA.
You and Gary are right on the mark!

Agreed. It was sad to see one ambassador attack another. Differences of opinion such as this are best not aired in public. We are all here to help each other grow and learn as we, ourselves, grow and learn.
Am glad you posted this. God Bless! ~Cathy
