I am celebrating my 32nd Wedding Anniversary today, and it got me thinking about relationships and associations.

Whether it be personal or business, relationships have a few things in common, such as loyalty, common interests, communication, growth, respect and admiration. In my 32 years of marriage, I always followed certain rules and still do. This granted me a stable and steady lifestyle.
- Prepair yourself for the long haul, nothing ever worthwhile is a fly by night, commit.
- Listen and speak up, communication is key, not all are mind readers.
- Learn about and from each other, we all have different skill sets.
- Inflated egos are destructive, the humble will become wise.
- Do not pretend to be what you are not, the truth will emerge sometime.
- No secrets, lay all your cards on the table, it helps to keep relationships simple and honest.
- Grow up, mature with your years, not everyone likes an eternal child.
- Never take more than you put in, it is the circle of life's cardinal rule.
- Remember important dates, never forget birthdays, anniversaries and the like, make all feel important as they are part of your life.
- Don't sweat the small stuff, it tends to sort itself out with time.
- You do need to work at relationships constantly to keep it going strong.
- Long standing relationships keeps me humbled and grounded, I know what I have and what to do to maintain it.

Sounds familiar does it not, yes here at WA many of the same desciplines apply, building relationships, perseverance, constant effort, consistant learning, achieving targets, gaining knowledge and paying it back in some constructive way, yet the rewards are endless.
I never was one for the "quickie", rather seeking the lasting relationships, laying down solid foundations I could build a future on was always a better choice, and at my age many of the lessons learnt over the years, stood me in good stead.
Steady relationships helped me build steady business, sustaining me indefinitely. I apply these same principles to my online business and it is starting to show great results, only 1 year in, I never had this success rate wth my offline business, it took me at least 5 years before I saw profit and real growth.
I see a long standing relationship with Wealthy Affiliate as it is the only platform offering me all the principles I adopt for a steady lifestyle.

I consider myself to be a stable individual, always considering others as my motto I live by will always be, "In Helping Others We Prosper".
Until next time fellow WA Members, wishing you "All the best in going forward".
