Long standing relationships
I am celebrating my 32nd Wedding Anniversary today, and it got me thinking about relationships and associations.
Whether it be personal or business, relationships have a few things in common, such as loyalty, common interests, communication, growth, respect and admiration. In my 32 years of marriage, I always followed certain rules and still do. This granted me a stable and steady lifestyle.
- Prepair yourself for the long haul, nothing ever worthwhile is a fly by night, commit.
- Listen and speak up, communication is key, not all are mind readers.
- Learn about and from each other, we all have different skill sets.
- Inflated egos are destructive, the humble will become wise.
- Do not pretend to be what you are not, the truth will emerge sometime.
- No secrets, lay all your cards on the table, it helps to keep relationships simple and honest.
- Grow up, mature with your years, not everyone likes an eternal child.
- Never take more than you put in, it is the circle of life's cardinal rule.
- Remember important dates, never forget birthdays, anniversaries and the like, make all feel important as they are part of your life.
- Don't sweat the small stuff, it tends to sort itself out with time.
- You do need to work at relationships constantly to keep it going strong.
- Long standing relationships keeps me humbled and grounded, I know what I have and what to do to maintain it.
Sounds familiar does it not, yes here at WA many of the same desciplines apply, building relationships, perseverance, constant effort, consistant learning, achieving targets, gaining knowledge and paying it back in some constructive way, yet the rewards are endless.
I never was one for the "quickie", rather seeking the lasting relationships, laying down solid foundations I could build a future on was always a better choice, and at my age many of the lessons learnt over the years, stood me in good stead.
Steady relationships helped me build steady business, sustaining me indefinitely. I apply these same principles to my online business and it is starting to show great results, only 1 year in, I never had this success rate wth my offline business, it took me at least 5 years before I saw profit and real growth.
I see a long standing relationship with Wealthy Affiliate as it is the only platform offering me all the principles I adopt for a steady lifestyle.
I consider myself to be a stable individual, always considering others as my motto I live by will always be, "In Helping Others We Prosper".
Until next time fellow WA Members, wishing you "All the best in going forward".

Hi Gary,
Sincere congratulations on your anniversary. Thanks for sharing this great post. I have read your bio and it is very impressive. Congratulations on this also. In today's life, REAL people are relatively rare and I can see that you are ONE of them. You have achieved a lot in your career and I can see and feel that you will achieve a lot more.
Very nice to meet you here and I wish you the very best in all of your ventures.
Have a great day
Hello Jules,
Great to meet you and thanks for dropping by and your kind words,
I learned long ago to keep things simple and sincere, to build solid relationships through trust and honesty,
It has really paid off and I would not want to do it any other way.
All best in going forward.
Gary
32 years? That's a lot of challenges and successes. You are right to stay long in a relationship is to have faithfulness and flexibility and others as foundations even in business.
Hello Jimmy, thanks for popping in, yes being consistent and loyal to a course is certainly necessary for success.
All the best in going forward Jimmy.

Yes, Gary. I transferred to a new place which not provided with wifi access and is difficult to internet signal.
I'm just maximizing available time signal can give me within the day.
Congrats and happy anniversary!
Another rule to consider:
Don't let negativity sneak in. It will become destructive.
Hello Glen, thanks for the kind words and the wisdom,
I experienced that 1st hand years ago, and fiercely guard against it, surrounding myself with positive people and attitude is a great counter measure.
All the best ahead Glen.

Congratulations Gary, that is a milestone indeed, and thanks for sharing the wisdom of your experiences we can all draw that parallel between our living life and our online life.
best wishes for the next 32 years.
Thank you Alex,
You always seem to have the right words to string together, I think it comes from the heart therefore it is always appropriate to the circumstance, now I know why you are an Ambassador.

Thank you Jed, I appreciate your visit, this line is not a famous quote, it is something I came up with many years ago,
Being an Auto Mechanic all my life, I am always helping people with their cars, whether it be for profit or not,
There is always a sense of achievement when a task is complete and the appreciation shows on someone's face or in their attitude,
No amount of money can buy this. People talk and that is how one gets referrals doing good for others, much like this online business.
Wishing you great things ahead Jed.
