I was in my workshop this morning, not really being able to do much, with a stiff knee, I was about to grab a cup of coffee, when a regular long standing customer, drops by,
He had something in his hand, which looked like a birthday present all wrapped up, yes it was a gift, an appreciation gift, it was from his daughter.
Why did I warrant a gift from a long standing customer's daughter, you may be asking, well it was for repairing her Mercedes A1, this vehicle was by all and sundry and non could repair it, let alone diagnose the fault.
The Fault
When trying to start the car on occasion, it just would not start, it would crank, the battery was strong, but the vehicle would not start,
At other times, it would start 1st time, perfectly, this I was told has been going on for about a year,
Mercedes dealership, toooooo expensive, everyone else she tried, CLUELESS.

I had the problem sorted in a few hours, and the day that the appreciation gift was delivered was 4 weeks later, long enough to know that the problem was truly sorted out.
On this particular model, the starter's solenoid had a built in immobiliser, something I learned during my time at Mercedes, when Noah was still building his Ark, it was so long ago Lol

I was speaking to my youngest Son about girls, yes, those lovely creatures from Venus,

Well I want her to arrive at Night and disappear in the Morning, Hahahahaha,
No doubt whose Son he is, inherited my humour, I do not know whether to be Proud or Pity him, Lol !!!
