Every day is a chance to start again

Hello again, lovely WAers!
This morning, I found myself reflecting on something very simple, and yet very true, especially if you are building an online business.
- Some days are good days.
- Some days are not so good
And if you have been doing this for any length of time, you will know that those days can sit right next to each other without any clear reason why. Or, in my case, recently, quite a few 'not so good days' all in a row!
But 'not so good' is still much better than 'bad' in my book, and, being an optimist, I tend not to label things as 'bad' anyway - just as a learning curve that I'm just starting to explore!
I think this is one of the most important parts of the online journey that people do not talk about enough. Building something online is not just about learning skills or following a process. It's about the roller coaster ride that is life!
It's about learning how to stay steady when the external results do not yet reflect the effort you are putting in, or when life just gets in the way and you don't achieve the goals you set yourself at the start of the year. That's been me for the last couple of months. I had some plans; my life seemed to have different ones!
But in the grand scheme of things, does that matter as long as you pick things up again when you can?

I say, not!
I've been working on my online businesses for a few years now and I intend to work on them for a few hundred years more... OK, maybe not that long, but I'm not quitting anytime soon. I've just been rebuilding other parts of my life for a couple of months instead! Well, I say, 'rebuilding', but in reality, I'm really only in the 'thinking about demolishing' it stage, but there'll be a time to discuss that another day.
However, what I do know is this. Every day offers you the chance to begin again from where you are. Not in a dramatic way, although I am partial to some drama myself(!) but as a quiet, steady continuation of where you left off. Falling off the wagon doesn't send you back to the start! I'm not starting from the beginning each time. I'm picking things up from way down the track, with a bit more experience, even if it does not always feel like much in the moment.
And that changes things.
It takes away some of the pressure to get things right every single day, and replaces it with something far more sustainable. A willingness to keep going, to keep learning, and to trust that progress is happening, even when there has been a small hiatus. And who doesn't secretly love a little hiatus?!

And perhaps the most important thing to remember is this.
Today is still a day where you can begin again. Not from scratch, but from where you are now, with everything you have already learned along the way.
And sometimes, that is more than enough.
I've been here in the background, but not online much, so I'm looking forward to catching up on things I've missed in the last couple of months.
Now, what's all the gossip?!!! LOL
