WA-Ladies, I need your help to choose! WA-Gents are also welcome!
I am working on a better-looking site.
What does it mean concretely? I want a background image that resonates well with my audience.
As we are in the same boat (today, this is my favorite metaphor, used in other comments), it is obvious that I will ask for opinions on WA.
So, who is my audience?
- Ladies of age 40+
- At least high-school qualification
- Speak at least English
- Want to invest more in their own person (principally time)
- Want a significant change in their life (or adapt to a recent change)
- Want to show their value and their femininity
- Want to appear and be more assertive
- Want to get out of a (style)-rut
- Want to master their time efficiently between work and family and me-time
Let´s simplify our life and mindset without mystification of the things!
As a future confidence coach and image consultant, I want to show a clean, stylish and professional image. The background image should support the central part (the texts) without irritating the eye or steal attention from the center. I tried to find images that are preferred by women (blue, red, purple, green) or that transmit a positive feeling.
I have chosen 4 background images and would like to know your opinion, which would fit best considering the above-mentioned points. Please, let me know!

I am wondering if you could find some other choices for your site? Only the colors at both sides, in my opinion, don't make much difference. I think the layout is important. So you may choose and experience a little with other themes?
Thanks, Heidi for your comment! You mentioned a different perspective, this is great! At the end of the year I will but a theme and until then I experiment some layouts, building content and continue to study at WA. For now, I have just a few experience, with that no one can go far. :) Let´s see what the inquiry brings and how can I use this information. Have a great Sunday!
Hey Gabriella, you can change your theme easily here on WA, I have done it a few days ago and am quite delighted with the result. Have a look http://my-cat.org and tell me if you like it. There are tons of themes you can use for free!

Hi Gabriella, coming from the man side of things is it a trick question lol. Looking at the demographic and the life choices that you are promoting I would tend to think of someone re-entering the workforce or looking to change their situation. it is that time when you re-evaluate your life, I have been a partner,wife, mom etc now it is time for me to reconnect with myself and rediscover who I am, I probably missed the point, but I would look at #3 and #5 they kind of project that sense of fun and change while still being funky and connected.
Great description, Alexander! Thank you! You got to the point! I want a clean and elegant site with speed. For now in a free version. In November I decide what I will buy and which plugins will be the most important ones to use without slowing down the site speed. I think I will test the two or three most voted versions with my future audience when I will understand more of site analysis and statistics. :)
I am the colorful type, so I go for 5, I know not everyone is that colorful, so my second option is 2

Good Morning Gabriella, I will give you my opinion it's free lol. I think #1 blends in with the page and maybe looks prim and proper, However #3 seems to appeal to me more and with the ladies age group you are trying to target I think they will like the retro look. The Last one is nice to. I think if I had to chose one though out of all 5, it would have to be between #3 or #5. I hope this helps you out :) Have a great Sunday.
2 & 3, but I will choose 3, because it is bright and appealing. I love bright and beautiful colours.

I would go with #2. It has the colors women prefer. Plus blue is the dominant color which conveys trust.
#4 is my second choice. But would prefer the colors muted.
Definitely not 3 or 5 because of the orange color. #1 is borderline because of the color of the flower center.
