Adding Social Media Icons for Sharing

Do you want those nifty little icons so your visitors can easily share your amazing content to their social networks?

Of course you do!

Do you want to pay for a premium package in order customize these icons?

Of course you don't!

Well, I was thinking the same thing, so

Here is what I did.

1. I went to "add new" under plugins and then began searching under the tags "share" and "social".
2. I looked for plugins that were current with my version and that have been recently updated. I don't want a plugin that hasn't been worked on in two years!
3. I installed and activated a few different plugins, activated them, and deleted the ones I did not like
4. I decided to use two different plugins in order have my share icons visible at the top and the bottom of my posts. Something you would have to pay premium for or simply can not do with one plugin.

Here are the two picks that I found were simple to use.

1. Huge IT Share Buttons - They have a great premium service, but I just am using it to add the basics to the bottom of my posts for free
2. SOCIAL MEDIA BUILDER - This is my pick in terms of customization. They give a lot of options regarding look and placement under the free usage. If you want some of the obscure social accounts, you will have to go premium, but I really think this has the best value as far as the free ones that I looked into.

So, there you have! You don't have to use the ones that I did, but I would suggest following my methodology to locate the right one for you. After all, what do you do to find a new pair of shoes? Do you buy the first pair you put on your fee? Pretty rare if you ask me!
